Twitter Launches Early Version of Encrypted Messages

Twitter has just launched the earliest version of encrypted messaging on its Social Media platform. This was made public by the owner of the social media platform, Mr. Elon Musk in a tweet in the early hours of Thursday, 11th of May on his official Twitter handle.

Going by the tweet, it seems as though the security of the just-rolled-out messaging feature is not yet guaranteed as he indicated in his tweet that they are still working on it

This feature was earlier announced by Mr. Trump as he sought his follower’s opinions just as he normally does and received an affirmative response and support from a majority of his followers on the media app. This is part of the changes the Twitter CEO has tried to introduce into the popular social media platform since his acquisition of Twitter.

Other features that the Twitter CEO is looking at adding to his SM platform as suggested by one of his followers whose handle is “@GuyDealership” are:

  1. 10-second rewind/forward for the audio and video streaming
  2. Ability to listen with the phone closed
  3. Add a “Podcasts” tab on the profile page next to tweets and replies (for discoverability)
  4. Picture-in-picture

Another feature that may be introduced is the Twitter dating app.  An idea conceived by the Twitter owner. Although a large percentage of people who sampled their opinion wasn’t receptive to that opinion.

It remains to be seen how these features will look like and in what way they will be able to positively enhance the SM platform
